What Is The Best Way To Build Muscle by Robert M

If you want to know what the best way to build muscle is then you should read the rest of this article, I will be talking about some of the things I think you should know about before starting to train your muscles and also I will be sharing some great tips that may become very helpful for you in your efforts.

Building muscle is great, it really can be an extremely enjoyable and rewarding activity, there are, however, some things that can make it quite difficult for people to succeed with body building, I am going to tell you about some of these things right now.

First of all, don't be lazy, yes, that's about as direct as I can make it, too many people are too lazy and simply don't do what it takes to build their muscles, they say they want to, they convince themselves that they are going to do it but when the time comes to actually do it, they get lazy and put it off or don't put their full effort in, this is a good way to fail or at least slow your progress way down.

Second of all, don't try to become an expert body builder until you've at least learnt the basics, a lot of newcomers to the world of muscle training believe that they can get huge muscles by just lifting a dumbell a few times every day, well, that's not the case, if you want to train your muscles to be extremely strong and train them in the best way possible, you need to learn and study the methods for doing so.

Another thing that makes quite a few poeple fail is the fact that they expect instant results, well, maybe not instant but they expect to see big results in a short period of time, it is possible to get great results quickly but don't expect too much because you will likely only be disappointed, set realistic goals and you will be motivated to keep going when you achieve them.

Do things the right way, that sounds pretty obvious but it is actually something a lot of people don't think about when they first start to build their muscles, a lot of people just jump in and start lifting weights with no thought about what they are doing, this can lead to not only failure to get good results but it can also be very dangerous in some cases, don't be silly, do things correctly and safely and you will enjoy the rewards.

These are just some of the things I thought should be pointed out to you before you begin your training, another good point to make is that you should remember to enjoy yourself, don't let it become like a chore, instead have fun and enjoy training your body and improving your health and fitness, it really is great.

What Is The Fastest Way To Build Muscle Naturally by Robert M

If you're new to body building or if you don't have a lot of knowledge in the area but wish to start doing it, you will likely have found yourself considering this question, what is the fastest way to build muscle naturally and there's a very simple reason for that, people would prefer to be able to build their muscles quickly and without using anything that isn't natural, very understandable.

Although it is possible to do this, it probably isn't the best way to be thinking about it, I mean, if you want to build your muscles, train your body, then you shouldn't be thinking about what the fastest way is but rather what the best way is, some methods may take a little longer but if they are much more effective then it shouldn't be a problem.

As far as I know, there isn't really a single method that could be called the "fastest" way to build muscle, I mean, there are many methods and training programs that work very effectively and quickly but it is down to the person actually doing the training to improve and progress with speed and safety.

What I would tell you is that if you want to improve and progress quickly and naturally, there are two things that I think would be very important for this:

1.) Learn as much as you can - If you think you can become an expert body builder and train yourself in the best way without gaining any knowledge of body building, you are wrong, simple as that, if you want to build muscle naturally and quickly then learn everything you can from the experts.

2.) Follow a solid plan - This is another thing you can get from expert body builders, simply saying to yourself "I want to build my muscles fast" isn't really good enough, you need to have a solid, proven to work plan to follow that will guide you through the best methods for doing it.

This may not be exactly what you are looking for in an answer to the original question but I think that if you follow this advice then you will have a much easier time building your muscles.

Jumping in head first with no idea of what you are going to do or how you are going to do it is not a good idea, especially when you are dealing with physical exercise, body building can be quite dangerous and trying to do it without learning first is not smart.

Instead, read and learn lots, read and learn everything you can about body building and gain a better understanding of the methods involved with it, then get a solid plan and follow it, doing this is much more likely to get you the results you want in a shorter period of time.

Problems of the Muscles, Bones and Joint by Franchis Adam

The Structures that form the human frame are collectively known as the neuromusculoskeletal system. This is the largest system in the body, using the most energy and producing the most waste.

The bones that make up the human frame meet at the joints, which are linked together by ligaments and are moved by muscles. The joints are lubricated by the synovial fluid and the membranes that line them. Cartilage cushions them from impact. The muscles are attached to the bones by tendons, and the fabric of the body is held together by "connective tissues" or "fascias," forming a continuous sheath covering the muscles and organs throughout the entire body.

Arteries run throughout the body, and through the blood they supply nourishment to the neuromusculoskeletal system. The waste products are washed away by the venous and lymphatic channels (the lymphatic system runs parallel to the circulatory system). All activities and functions are governed by the nerves connecting the joints to the spinal cord and brain.

What can go wrong?

The internal systems of the body are there to serve the needs of the body framework: that is, to nourish, repair, maintain, and organize it. When all the systems are working together in harmony, automatically adapting to the constantly changing needs, the body is healthy. When these break down ill-health or "disease" sets in.

The body framework is the system in the body responsible for most aches and pains, as well as stiffness and restricted mobility. There may be injuries to bones, strains and cramps in muscle, stiffness and general wear and tear on joints. It can be affected greatly by internal ill-health, and when the framework itself becomes dysfunctional, it can alter the health of the internal organs and the whole body system.

Pain in the body framework may be due to many causes. Organic pathologies such as secondary cancer, prostate cancer, infections, gynecological, and kidney problems, among others, must first be eliminated before treatment is undergone.

It must be stressed that although the treatments described will deal with the presenting complaint, alternative medicine does not work on a symptomatic "formula" basis. There are invariably underlying factors to the presenting symptoms that must be addressed to enable full recovery. Professional advice must be sought for a correct diagnosis and overall constitutional treatment, which will always be individually tailored.

How to Lose Female Fat by Craig Ballantyne

Men have everything, including the best fat loss workouts, right? Wrong.

And the answer will shock you.

I train a lot of men and women who do the same workouts - and here's the shocker: Most of the time, the women get the best results by using interval training and superset strength training.

Why?

Because most women are doing such ineffective workouts right now, that they are getting no results. Cardio is boring. And possibly doesn't even work. But when they switch to intervals and resistance training, their bodies get lean fast and they lose inches fast!

However, I also sometimes will change the program for women in order — we might reduce the number of sets per exercise or we use body weight exercises in place of dumbbell exercises.

And the reasoning here is this. To "bulk up", bodybuilders need to do a lot of volume (a lot of sets and reps) - and they have to eat a lot, which obviously people aren't going to be focusing on if they want to lose body fat.

Women who want to burn inches from their thigs are not going to be pigging out. They're going to be eating what they're supposed to.

But back to training. In my Turbulence Training programs we don't have body builder type volume in the first place. So most women, like I said, just train normally on Turbulence Training and don't change it at all - and they lose fat and do NOT bulk up.

However, I sometimes change the program only for a woman's mindset purpose as opposed to an actual physical purpose. Instead of doing three sets per exercise, we'll just do one or maybe two sets per exercise. That way it just decreases the amount of volume and reduces the chance of gaining muscle. So that's the biggest change that I'll make for women.

It really just eases their mind so they won't think they are getting big and bulky.

On the other hand, another mindset change for women is if we use a pushup in place of a dumbbell chest press women are much more comfortable doing pushups because they don't associate that with gaining mass.

Pushups are tough, and elevating your feet makes them tougher. So if a woman is using 30 or 35 pounds in dumbbell chest presses, then sometimes they get a little anxious about that so we'll just switch them over to decline pushups.

These pushups are very difficult exercise, still getting the same type of results, same benefits, but now they're not worried about the so-called bulking up.

So, those are the changes I make and I'm not hesitant to say I'm making them mostly to suit the mindset of the person because I know we're not losing results.

And another thing to consider about volume of training is that you don't have to do six different exercises for a body part and four sets per exercise.

Strength training is a very efficient process. You can do only one round of each movement, and still get most of the results.

So that's an important consideration for people that are really pressed for time. Men who like to build muscle can do less cardio and eat more.

People just have to realize that if they only have 10 or 15 minutes they can still benefit their body and their fat loss efforts just by training at a reduced volume.

Title: Strength Training - Why Take the Time by David Rafferty

Copyright (c) 2008 David Rafferty

Research has shown the weight training, weight lifting and or strength training, has enormous effects on the muscular skeletal system, enhances the maintenance of functional abilities, helps prevent osteoporosis, sarcopenia (loss of body mass), low back pain, and other disabilities

Loss of strength is one of the characteristics of aging. This is particularly problematic for those people whose lifestyles don't demand use of the muscles. If you are an office jockey or are otherwise sedentary, your muscles will atrophy lowering your metabolic rate and negatively impact your immune system. Strenght training is one of the most effective ways to combat aging.

Strength training also contributes to muscle conditioning. Conditioning muscles is essential to overall stability and the strength of the body. A strong body provides many benefits all through out life. Maintaining strong muscles also aids in maintaining stronger, healthier bones, tendons and connective tissues.

Your posture or the ways you sit and stand reflect the health of the muscles and bones that keep you upright. Strengthening those muscles and bones will enable to sit and stand more comfortably.

Many people, particularly women, fear strength training believing they will experience dramatic gains in muscle size making them look more like men. This just is not so. Men and women have different hormones that govern how muscles respond to strength training. The male hormone testosterone is key to building large muscles. Women simply lack sufficient levels of testosterone to "bulk up". Instead you'll gain longer more shapely muscles that can also be much stronger.

Clinical studies have shown that strength training is a keep ingredient in managing stress. A regular exercise routine that incorporates strength training will result in better deep sleep in addition to handling stress more readily. The hormones released as result will also lift your mood thus combating depression

Strength training like most forms of exercise raises the metabolic rate thus burning more calories. It will aid in maintaining the proper weight with less body fat. Be aware though that as your routine progresses, you may not actually lose weight, but you'll lose inches. Muscle is denser thus heavier than fat but takes less space. Over time you should notice decreases in waist measurements and body fat measurement.

A little exercise is better than no exercise. Avoid feeling that if you can't spend hours, then why bother. Every journey starts with the first step. Be conscious of how you carry grocery bags, babies or other objects. Make daily chores into an impromptu workout.

Consult with your doctor if you want to make weight lifting a daily part of your fitness regimen.

4 Easy Exercises To Eliminate Man Boobs by Dane Charleston

Man boobs are no joke. However, many people laugh and make fun of those who suffer from this condition. If you have ever felt the embarrassing sting of somebody picking on you because of the excessive fat in your pecs, it's time that you take the proper action.

The proper action is creating a fitness program that utilizes specific exercises to eliminate those man boobs once and for all. In this article, I will discuss with you four easy exercises you can utilize to cut back on the fat in your chest and replace it with muscle.

The first exercise is push-ups. The great thing about these is you can do them practically anywhere and at any time. Many people with man boobs find they can't really do any push-ups at first.

This means that you are out of shape and you need to do push-ups more than anybody else. In this case, start lightly -- do small sets of 2 or even 1. If you have to, start on your knees and then slowly work up to being able to do push-ups correctly.

The second exercise is skipping rope. This is a great cardiovascular exercise which will burn up fat, boost up your metabolism, and work your upper body as well as your arms. A good program here is to start with one minute of jumping rope, followed by a thirty second rest.

Start by committing a half hour a day every other day. That means that you will have jumped rope for 20 minutes out of your 30 minute workout.

The third exercise is to be used on the days that you are not jumping rope. Here, you go out for a jog. Again, the idea is to simply get 30 minutes of cardiovascular workout. For many people, it is unwise for them to run a full 30 minutes until they get back in shape. Otherwise, their muscles and joints are sore.

Again, utilize a program that allows you to run for five minutes, followed by a minute of walking. Experiment to find the right balance. Then, as you get in better shape, you can run more and walk less.

The fourth exercise is a seated chest press. In this way, you will work out your pectoral muscles directly, and this is the best exercise to accomplish that.

There you have it -- four simple exercises that you can use to reduce your man boobs.

Problems of The Nervous System by Franchis Adam

The Nervous System comprises the central nervous system (CNS), consisting of the brain and spinal cord, protected by the skull and spine, and the peripheral nervous system (PNS), made up of spinal and cranial nerves, which extend from the CNS to other parts of the body. Nerves are bundles of the long, tubelike extensions of nerve cells. Impulses traveling through them carry information throughout the body. Nerve impulses travel only in one direction. A message will, for instance, be sent to the brain from the fingertips through one nerve, and the message from the brain back to the fingers will be sent through another. Nerve cells are called neurons, and each has a cell body, branches called dendrites, and an axon. It is separated from the next nerve by a small gap called a synapse. Each neurone contacts the next in the nerve chain by releasing a chemical called a neurotransmitter from the end of the axon. This crosses the synapse and carries the message to the next neurone. The neurotransmitter found at the synapses of most peripheral nerves is called acetylcholine, although at some autonomic nerve synapses the transmitter is noradrenaline or dopamine.

What Nerves do

The action of the nerves, which is moderated by the neurotransmitters, is a sensitive process that can be increased or decreased as needed. And because the chemical structure of many of the neurotransmitters is known, they can be used as drugs to modulate some of the most important actions of the nervous system. There are also many drugs that act by simulating the action of neurotransmitters, by modifying their action or by blocking their receptor sites.

The CNS acts as a central computer to the rest of the body. It receives sensory information from the organs of the whole body, such as the ears and eyes, skin, and joints. It analyzes this information and then sends out the appropriate motor response to various muscles, such as those controlling speech or internal organs.

The Two Systems

There are two main divisions within the PNS: the somatic nervous system, which controls the muscles responsible for conscious or willed movement, such as speech or walking; and the autonomic nervous system, which controls involuntary body functions, such as sweating or shivering in response to cold. Organs and glands are influenced chiefly by the autonomic nervous system, which is divided into two areas: these are the sympathetic nervous system and the parasympatheyic nervous system. Most of the time, these two in balance, but the sympathetic system will dominate during periods of excitement or fear by stimulating functions such as the heartrate or breathing, as if preparing the body for a fight-or-flight response, as if contrast, the parasympathetic system is concerned with everyday functions and dominates during sleep.

Sensory nerves carry information from the sense organs and other body receptors to the central to the central nervous system - the brain and spinal cord - for processing. Then motor nerves carry the processed information from the central nervous system to the gland, muscles to intiate a change.

Stamina Recumbent Bike Reviews by Robin OBrien

Stamina makes cheap recumbent exercise bikes that are extremely popular. Their appeal lies in an attractive combination of price, construction and feature list. However, when buying a cheap piece of fitness equipment there are going to be some negative points. Here are some ratings on the company's recumbent models.

The Stamina Magnetic Resistance recumbent bike (15-4600A) retails for around $200 and is the cheapest model. For $200 it does look good value for money, but when you look closer you really do have to ask if this piece of equipment will give you a decent cardiovascular workout. For starters, although there is magnetic resistance, there are only 8 levels and you have to manually change the resistance using a knob. While this may not be a crucial design flaw, the absence of built-in heart rate monitor is. To get the best workout you really do need this feature and the 15-4600A not having it is a major negative point. Finally, the construction does look rather basic and a little flimsy. This machine has a poor rating of 1 out of 5.

For a mere increase of $30, the Stamina Silent Magnetic Resistance bike (15-4800A) is a much better buy. It's design and construction is better than the 15-4600A. There are 6 preset workout programs and, with this model, you do get hand grip pulse sensors. The resistance still only comes with 8 levels and you have to manually adjust it with a knob, but that's would you'd expect at this price. For its price, build and features it isn't that bad and gets a rating of 3 out of 5.

Next up is the EMR Conversion II Recumbent bike/rower (15-9002) that retails for around $600. I like the idea of combining both bike and rowing machine as both provide workouts for different parts of the body and for many, buying and using two separate machines is expensive and impractical. However, the 15-9002 falls short as being a good piece of kit. While it is very easy to convert it lacks any preset programs, the construction quality could be better and the resistance is still only at 8 levels and it requires manual adjustment. Not up to scratch and it only gets a rating of 2 out of 5.

The Stamina Conversion II Recumbent bike/rower (15-9003) is the better option. It retails for around $800. When compared to the 15-9003 the better design and construction is very apparent and the LCD is larger and easier to read. But again, it lacks preset workout programs and there are still only 8 levels of resistance. Out of the two bike/rower machine this is the better one. Is it worth the extra $200? Probably. It gets a rating of 3 out of 5.

The most expensive model is the Elite Total Body Bike(15-9100). It retails for a, not inexpensive, price of $900. I'm disappointed with this machine. While I like the idea of the 'pedaling' handle bars the machine lacks many features. It does have hand grip sensors, a console giving you the usual data feedback, etc. But, it lacks many that you'd expect a machine at this price to have. There's no preset programs, the resistance levels are still only 8 and still require manual adjustment! Compare this to the Tunturi E60R recumbent exercise bike that retails for $1,000. The Tunturi comes with one of the most feature-rich console you can get, 8 motivational, scalable workout profiles and 8 user profiles to suit individual fitness goals, electronically controlled brake that produces a wide effort range and enables the exercise settings to be easily changed whilst training - no manual adjustment, and it comes with a much better warranty. The Tunturi simply out does the Stamina on every salient point. This Stamina bike leaves a lot to be desired and only gets a rating of 1 out of 5.

A Stamina recumbent bike is cheap but it really is only suitable for entry-level or occasional users. Those who already own a bike or are serious about getting a good workout would be better advised to look at other brands.

Treadmills Reviews Of The Best On The Market by Robin OBrien

Reviews of the best treadmills you can buy in the low-, mid- and high-end range.

Low-End, Cheap Treadmills

If you're on a budget or want a machine for occasional or light use you should definitely have a look at buying a cheap machine. Even if you're a serious runner who likes running outside, a cheap and affordable model is fine for those times when you wish to run indoors.

The problem with cheap home treadmills is that some are good and deliver on their promise of being a worthwhile piece of exercise equipment, but some cheap models are downright bad.

One can think of the Sportcraft treadmill. This is a low cost machine that is mass sold through retailers like Wal-Mart and Target. It was first launched in 2001 and has 3 product recalls in that short space of time. This is what Treadmill Doctor has to say about this company's machines: 'We expect them to continue mass-marketing game tables and the like but we believe they should stay away from making treadmills.' The Sportcraft treadmill is bad.

However, the Weslo Treadmill is a good cheap model. You can buy the Weslo Cadence G-25 for as little as $200. It is a perfectly acceptable machine for walkers and joggers. It comes with a motor speed of 0 - 6 mph. The treadbelt is 43" with 3 incline positions; 5, 7 and 9%. It comes with a Step-by-Step Feedback Console that has a pretty decent display that helps you keep track of speed, time, distance, calories and fat calories burned.

Some trade reviews of Weslo treadmills give them a poor rating but they usually don't compare like with like. More typically they compare the Weslo with some mid-price machines costing about four to five times as much, which is a nonsensical thing to do.

The Weslo Cadence G-25 treadmill is perfect for those who walk or jog. And, at $200 it is more than reasonably priced.

Mid-Price Treadmills

This is the most competitive sector in the market as most runners are adequately served by using one of this price range. The price does vary quite significantly though; you can pay anything between $1,000 and $2,500. These machines have an array of features to entice the customer. You can buy one that has an amazing control panel, or you can buy one with a very basic control panel but has a very good motor and treadbelt.

If you're someone who needs motivation then you should take a look at HealthRider treadmills. Some models like the T600i come with 4 Window LED Biologic console complete with iFIT.com technology. iFit is an interactive system that works by sending digital cues from the iFIT.com web site, compact discs, and videos to vary resistance, speed, and incline functions according to workouts developed by iFIT.com personal trainers. It's great software for those who find the idea of running on a machine as about as exciting as watching paint dry. The T600i treadmill from HealthRider is about their best model.

If you're looking for pure quality in terms of design and manufacture take a look at a PaceMaster treadmill. Founded in the 60s by the renowned Bill Staub, PaceMaster treadmills have a reputation as being the best. The PaceMaster Gold Elite comes with a 3 hp continuous duty McMillan motor and a maximum speed of 12 mph. So well put together is this machine, it can handle a pay load of 400 lbs. The incline goes from 0 to 15% with 0.5% inclinations.

So confident is the company about the Gold Elite that is comes with a lifetime warranty on the frame, with 12 years on the motor and a 5 year parts and 1 year labor warranty. It's unheard of for anyone else to have a warranty on the motor for this length of time.

High-End Treadmills

The one that stands head and shoulders above others is the Landice treadmill. But what makes it so special? For starters it comes with an American made 3 hp continuous duty drive motor that constantly delivers 3 hp with fear of overheating. The fly wheel is the best in the industry and helps to prolong the life of the belt. The treadbelt used on a Landice treadmill is 4-ply; the vast majority of other brands use only 2-ply. 4-ply means the machine can stand up to intensive use from even the most demanding athletes. Landice also give a lifetime warranty with the treadmill, though be warned, there are so many loopholes you need a lawyer present when it's installed. Landice machine are the best but they're expensive and start at just over $3,000.
